Tuesday the 9th of October at 16.00 there will be a closing ceremony of the exhibition at Háskólatorg where students of Japanese and Political science, with the support of the University´s Student Association, will receive 50 foreign guests, young people from eight countries around the world, who this week are guests of Iceland´s National Association of Scouts, which is celebrating this year its 100 years anniversary by holding numerous peace events among them this coming Saturday, After a short message from the director of The Nagasaki National Peace Memorial Hall for the Atomic Bomb guests will proceed to the venue of the exhibition where after a minute of silence, commemorating the victims of the bombings, guests will together listen listen to the “tune” of that day, Imagine by John Lennon, and then view the exhibition. In the evening the annual Peacetower lightning will take place at Viðey.
